Out of Thermaltake's various products that were on display at CeBIT 2010 in Hanover, Germany, the one that got the most attention was, obviously, the now-infamous Level 10 Chassis. This enthusiast case put on its fiery garments and made short work of gazers' attention spans. Still, even with its reputation, the Level 10 was unable to do all the work by itself, which is why the Armor A90 managed to turn some heads of its own. Now, after a time of preparations, this desktop mid-tower seems almost ready to come out.

Unlike the Level 10, the Armor A90 has no intention of leaving wallets dry wherever it goes. Seeking to be more accessible to a higher number of gamers, the all-black enclosure somehow manages to limit itself to a price of only $100, which, while still higher than that of many mid-towers, is quite small compared with the $850 that the Level 10 warrants.

For this price, end-users will get a chassis measuring 502 (H) x 210 (W) x 515 (L) mm and weighing 8.2kg, with an interior featuring a trio of 5.25 drive bays, seven expansion slots, six internal 3.5-inch HDD bays (with 1 x 2.5" HDD/SSD) and support for Standard ATX PSII power supplies.

The computer case can house Standard ATX & microATX motherboards and has a number of fans, including a 120mm front spinner for intake (as well as an extra 120mm/200mm if buyers so wish), an optional, similar-sized one on the side and two exhaust fans. One measures 200mm and is mounted at the top, whereas the remaining 120mm TurboFan (1000RPM, 1dBA) sits at the rear. Both the intake and the top exhaust fans have blue LEDs.

For a touch of convenience, Thermaltake implemented a tool-free design and a transparent side window and even support for water cooling, in case gamers weren't satisfied with the base capabilities. The Armor A90 still hasn't been given a release date, but, when it does stride out (possibly later this month, if stars align correctly), it will have the aforementioned $100 price and a three-year warranty.
