The Thermaltake Armor A90 PC case was
unveiled a little over two months ago and did well in living up to the reputation of the popular Armor Series. Now, the same hardware maker has brought out yet another member for this same line, by the name of Armor A60. This new chassis seeks to preserve, if not raise the standard placed by its predecessors, by means of support for the latest connectivity standards and the 'world's first SideClick EasySwap design' for 3.5-inch HDDs.
The chassis uses the mid-tower form factor and features three exposed 5.25-inch bays, as well as a number of so-called hidden SideClick EasySwap 3.5-inch bays. There are seven expansion slots, as well as support for micro-ATX and standard ATX motherboards. The entire housing is coated in black and measures 480.0 x 210.0 x 500.0 mm (18.9 x 8.3 x 19.7 inch). All in all, it weighs 7.1 kg because it is completely made of SECC steel. Furthermore, a front I/O panel offers not only USB 2.0 ports, but also eSATA and, most importantly, USB 3.0 connectivity.
Needless to say, Thermaltake did not shy away from throwing in a suitable number of fans. On the front, there is a 120 x 120 x 25 mm Blue LED fan (1000rpm, 16dBA), as well as an extra, optional spinner, either identical or of 200 x 200 x 20 mm. There is also a 120 mm TurboFan spinner a the rear (1,000 RPM, 16 dBA) and a top exhaust 200 x 200 x 20 mm Blue LED fan (800rpm, 15dBA). A pair of 120 mm models can be added on top. Finally, an extra 120mm fan can be added, for intake, on the side.
The Thermaltake Armor A60 is equipped with a side window and pre-drilled water cooling holes. It has already started shipping, priced at $89.90. The full list of specifications can be perused by visiting the official
