A high-performance desktop PC can have a number of elements that enable it to provide its users with the highest-performance computing, including the use of the latest hardware and cooling solutions. Cooling is one of the critical aspects for any high-end PC, as it can make the difference between a high-end PC and a mainstream system.

With this in mind, Thermaltake, one of the innovators in the segment for computer chassis and cooling solutions, has just announced the debut of its new Element V case, specifically developed to accommodate the latest graphics cards, CPUs, and other hardware components.

“The latest graphic cards can draw over 200w each and that places a significant strain on the thermal design of any chassis. Element V uses an array of fans to ensure optimal airflow across the hottest surfaces of the components within your system,” explained J.J. Jan, Thermaltake's Global VP for Sales. “Not only has our engineering team delivered a technically advanced product in the Element V, they have also managed to do this at a very competitive price point”, he also added.

Among the main features that have been integrated into Thermaltake's latest chassis, the company highlighted the use of a color shifting fan with 6-color changing pattern, 3-color shifting fans, adjustable fan speed control and an optimized air flow, thanks to the adoption of unique internal and external design. The full tower case uses an open windows side panel and offers support for an impressive number of fans, for an efficient cooling solution.

Measuring 532 x 220 x 537 mm and weighing approximately 14.13 kg, the case also offers support for up to 12 drive bays, including 5 x 5.25-inch, 6 x 3.5-inch, and 1 x 2.5-inch. There are 7 expansion slots and support for Micro ATX, ATX, and Extended ATX motherboards. The chassis also features 4 USB 2.0 ports, one eSATA port and HD audio jack, in addition to the support for 1/2-inch, 3/8-inch and 1/4-inch water tube. It is expected to become available for just over £100 excluding VAT, according to the company.
