Thanks to their small size and increased portability, Thermaltake's line of Toughpower Ultra Slim universal laptop chargers has become quite well known among on-the-go notebook users, and recently the company announced that it plans to further increase its adapter portfolio with two new units rated at 65W and 90W.

Just like their predecessors, these too are extremely small and portable as they only measure 17 mm (height) x 135 mm (depth) x 60 mm (width) and a mere 0.24kg in weight.

Furthermore, the adapters come standard with no less than nine exchangeable color-coded DC output tips which support all major notebook manufacturers such as Dell, Acer, Asus, Compaq, HP, IBM, Fujitsu, Lenovo and Toshiba.

To increase the flexibility, Thermaltake has added to the Toughpower Ultra Slim chargers an additional 5V USB power port, that is placed on the side of the adapter and has a maximum output current of 1A.

This is compatible with all USB-charging devices and should cut in half the charge time thanks to the high output current provided.

According to Thermaltake, the Toughpower Ultra Slim universal adapters use a high power-conversion circuitry that reaches 90% efficiency and feature built in over current, over voltage, over temperature and short-circuitry protection.

Together with the various DC outputs, the adapters also come bundles with a carrying bag.

No details regarding pricing and availability were made public at this time, but the products were already listed on the company's website.

Right now, the Thermaltake Toughpower Ultra Slim product line includes just one other universal notebook adapter that is able to deliver 95W of power and is listed as low as $53.53.

These means that the new models should come under the $50 mark which will make them particularly attractive for users looking for a portable notebook charger.
