Once again aiming at the mid to high-end market segments, Thermaltake has unwrapped four new additions to its strong line of Toughpower PSUs. These four products are designed for an increased power, reliability and easy real-time monitoring, so that consumers may take full advantage of any power-hungry workloads that they might be carrying out. The four units are module power supplies with wattages of 575W, 675W, 775W and 875W.

Highly efficient power supplies are at the top of the list for manufacturers of such products, as gamers, power users and overclockers will always look for the best product when building their configuration. The four new units from Thermaltake have gained the 80 PLUS Bronze certification thanks to their efficiency of up to 89% and are compliant with the ATX 12V 2.3 and EPS 12V 2.91 standards. As such, they will be able to easily meet the demands of high-end computers, especially considering their array of special features.

The four PSUs boast double-forward switching circuitry for a low power loss and higher reliability, a DC-DC Converter Module and an active PFC (Power Factor Correction), as well as a single 12V rail design. Furthermore, a 3-mode LED (known as the S.P.T. indicator) allows for the constant real-time monitoring of the unit. In addition, Thermaltake designed these devices with high-quality, 105°C Japanese solid state capacitors, for a longer product life. As such, the units have an MTBF of over 120,000 hours.

The PSUs are kept cool by a 140mm dual ball bearing fan that spins at 1900 RPM. This fan will run for an added 30 to 60 seconds after system shutdown in order to dissipate the remaining heat.

The 575W, 675W, 775W and 875W Toughpower XT units will become available soon and have respective prices of $109, $135, $145 and $159.
