Called HR-22, it has six 6mm heatpipes and can handle chips without a fan

For a product that was formally revealed five months ago, the HR-22 CPU heatsink from Thermalright has been really slow to reach the market.

Still, the cooling product is now available for order, so we can at least count that as a blessing.

The whole point of the HR-22 is to cool a central processing or accelerated processing unit without adding a fan on top.

Sure, you can still install one, but the heatsink is big enough (120 x 150 x 159 mm / 4.72 x 4.72 x 6.25 inches) to handle an average processor's heat without it.

Six 6 mm nickel-plated copper heat pipes lead the heat away from the base plate, which is made of the same material.

The weight of the Thermalright HR-22 is 1.12 kg / 2.46 pounds. The company didn't provide a price, sadly, but did give the list of supported CPU sockets: LGA2011, LGA115x, LGA1366, AM3+/AM3, and FM2+/FM2.
