Theresia is a game made by Japanese studio WorkJam exclusively for the Nintendo DS portable console, and published by Aksys Games on September 11, 2008, in Japan, and on October 30, that same year, in North America, being one of the few DS games that received the Mature rating from the ESRB, largely because of its graphic content.
Theresia is an adventure survival horror game, in the vein of traditional Japanese visual novels, released by Aksys in its own series of titles for mobile phones, has a first-person perspective and depicts two different stories, each sharing a common background, one called Dear Emile, which sees players control a character called Emile, who must battle his own demons, fears or various traps, and the other named Dear Martel, which features a smaller story, designed to complete the events portrayed in the first one.
