Google has debuted a new site aimed at students or prospective students. The idea is to give them pointers on what and how Google products can help them in school.

"Are you applying to college, in the midst of your college years or getting ready for graduation? Wherever you are in your academic journey, Google has tips and tricks to help," Google presented the new site.

Of course, if you're planning to go to college, you may be smart enough to figure out for yourself what you could use Google Calendar for. In fact, chances are, you've probably heard of Google Calendar and may be using it already.

Then again, aiming for the lowest common denominator ensures that your potential user base is as wide as possible.

Still, the new site does have some Google products that most people haven't heard of, Google Advisor for one, and use cases or features which may not be readily obvious to everyone.
