For $335 (€299) on weekdays and $400 (€357) on weekends, you too can spend a night in a quirky Godzilla-themed hotel in Tokyo, Japan. If you're not exactly swimming in money, you can always go for a smaller room at just $125 (€111) a night.

The hotel is located in the city's Shinjuku ward, and as illustrated in the photos included in the gallery below, it offers visitors the chance to sleep or simply relax in rooms decorated with Godzilla sculptures and oversized claws hanging over beds.

Whoever designed the hotel also made sure to put a model of the monster's head high up on the building's roof. This artwork of sorts stands about 12 meters (nearly 40 feet) tall, Oddity Central informs, and looks quite menacing.

Legend has it that whatever cities and towns Godzilla destroys on screen soon turn prosperous in real life. Hence the decision to build this Godzilla-themed hotel in Tokyo in anticipation of the 2020 Olympics, when thousands of tourists will visit Japan.

“This Godzilla head is part of our strategy for the 2020 Olympics when many foreign tourists will visit and we want to provide the best experience to them. What better way than to appeal to tourists with a giant Godzilla figure,” explained hotel spokesperson Eigo Ueda.
