A cute lamb with an unusual appearance was born in a Norwegian farm and was dubbed Batlamb due to its resemblance to the famous superhero.

After its proud owner posted photos of it on social media, the baby animal has attracted a lot of attention and ascended to global fame.

Sheep farmer Hege Vigre says she suspected something was special about her new lamb when it was still in the womb.

“She was lying wrong in the womb, with the left foot under the stomach and the right one forward, like Superman,” Vigre said.

However, when the baby was born, she discovered that it actually resembled another DC Comics superhero – Batman –, as it had a natural superhero mask on its face. The owner says that after seeing the photos, some people called it Zorro, and others Batlamb.

The incredible resemblance is due to the fact that the black fur around the lamb’s eyes is symmetrical.

“I didn’t really think of the eyes until the day after when it was drinking from the mother and jumping around, and I suddenly thought, ‘wow, the eyes are symmetrical’,” the farmer recalls.

According to The Local, the lamb is currently looked after at Vitengarden, part of the Jaermuseet animal park in Nærbø, near Stavanger.
