Specialists now claim that there is such a thing as “healthy obesity.” Otherwise put, not everybody who weighs more than they are supposed to are one hamburger away from heart failure, stroke and the like.

According to Daily Mail, one in four people currently labeled as obese are actually quite healthy and fit. Their blood pressure is normal, and their bodies have no issues processing sugar.

Hence the fact that they are no more likely to develop various medical conditions that normal weight people are, the same source tells us.

The only problem is that, just because they qualify as healthy obese as some point in their lives, these people still risk developing various health complications on the long run.

Therefore, they should not give up on the idea of losing weight.

“The science is not yet precise. There is always a risk that you will develop problems later,” Dr. Ian Campbell explains.
