Donut company and coffeehouse chain Krispy Kreme sure loves shocking people. If you don't believe me, have a look at the photo accompanying this article.

That ginormous square held by four company workers is an actual box of donuts. One containing as many as 2,400 sugary, irresistible treats, to be more precise.

According to Mirror, this freakishly big box of donuts, which measures as much as 4 meters (a little over 13 feet) in length, was put together by company employees at a store in London, UK.

Krispy Kreme made it not to scare people into instantly getting diabetes, but to advertise a new service allowing donuts enthusiasts to place large orders whenever they have special events to celebrate, the same source tells us.

“Whether you need a pick-me-up for your staff, catering for an event or even a wedding cake tower, Krispy Kreme offer the ideal solution to mark every occasion,” company employee Judith Denby said.

“We thought the ‘Double Hundred Dozen’ was the perfect way to get fans of Krispy Kreme excited and show we are now available for big occasions,” she added.

Even better, it appears that Krispy Kreme is ready and willing to have people get this first ginormous box of donuts for free. Thus, the company says that it will offer it to a business that is now getting ready to stage an event.

Those who want to win it need only tell @krispykremeUK all about their work in a tweet, and make sure to use the hashtag #BigOccasion.
