Thecus has just launched the N2800 NAS server, a redesigned version of the N2200XXX, according to user demands.

More than a NAS device, it can act as a full-blown media hub, being able to read memory cards (SD/SDHC/MMC) and connect to other storage devices via USB 3.0 (1 port).

An HDMI output even lets owners directly stream media to HDTVs, making this more than just a server.

An Intel Atom D2700 CPU lies at the heart of the product (2.13 GHz), backed by 2GB of DDR3 RAM.

It bears noting that Thecus made it possible to configure the two internal HDDs in RAID 0, 1 and JBOD.

Other specs include eSATA connectivity, two USB 2.0 ports, an USB copy button (automatically copies the data from an USB drive) and various software functions.
