Network-attached storage devices come in various sizes, and Thecus has just launched two that rank pretty high on that scale, although only one of them can truly be classified as large. Or rather tall.

Which is to say, while the N7710-G features a tower form factor with 7 bays (RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD support), the N8810U-G uses the much shorter blade form factor (8 bays here, similar RAID support).

Both newcomers have support for 10 GbE networking, USB 3.0 ports and hardware on the same level as entry-level PCs.

Specifically, they use dual-core Intel Pentium G850 CPUs.

Furthermore, on top of everything, RAID 50 is supported, while the N8810U-G also offers RAID 60 (better reliability).

Thecus will be shipping the N7710-G and N8810U-G from March onwards, for $1,199 / €1,199 and $1,999 / €1,999, respectively.
