So far, most of the 4 TB HDDs we've seen are external, USB-connected models, but there are a few SATA ones as well, which means that it was about time NAS devices got up to speed with that capacity.

Thecus is one of the companies supplying consumers and small and medium businesses with network-attached storage devices.

Its NAS units couldn't handle capacities above 3 TB though, not until a short while ago.

Now that they do, customers with money to spare will be able to satisfy their present and future network storage needs much more easily.

The TopTower series and the Vision line are just two of the device lines up to date. None of the other specifications have been modified.
