Users that are constantly on the move or students that don't want to carry around heavy laptops every day, dream about a small powerful laptop, that is also stylish enough to fit their requirements.

We found a solution for
these users, and the name is Panasonic R4. This is a 10 inch laptop which weights only 990 grams. Practically, you won't even notice it in your bag full of other things. R4 features a Pentium M 753 chip that runs at 1.2 GHz, and comes with 512 MB of DDR2 SDRAM that can be extended to 1024 MB.

The lightweight notebook has a 60 GB ultra ATA hard drive and its TFT display can support a maximum external resolution of 1600X1200. Besides that, the R4 offers a full range of connectivity possibilities: Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g, LAN, and a classic 56k modem. Also, two USB 2.0 slots and a SD slot are present.

The notebook doesn't have an optical drive. Also, the sound card is built in, and features an external speaker.

The battery life time Panasonic claims for the R4 is quite stunning: 9 hours.

The price announced for R4 is US$1.970.
