
Despite the fact that the producers haven't yet found a leading lady and a villain, the filming on the new James Bond film, called "Casino Royale" begun last Friday in Prague.
The film, starring new 007 Daniel Craig, started shooting in the Czech capital, but scenes involving Bond's love interest would not begin for more than a month, as the 007 agent has no Bond girl for now.
"Casino Royale" writer, Paul Haggis told the "Hollywood Reporter" paper that "They're talking to three to four girls right now. Every week I read there's a new Bond girl, and I call them and they say, 'No, you idiot'."
37-year-old Daniel Craig was chosen back in October to play the secret agent's role. He also starred in recent "Layer Cake" and "Munich", was cast as. Producer Michael G. Wilson said that the film-makers considered more than 200 actors from all around the world over two years before settling on Craig.
Craig follows in the footsteps of previous Bond stars Pierce Brosnan, Sir Sean Connery, Sir Roger Moore, George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton. As for the movie style, director Martin Campbell said the 21st Bond film would be "definitely darker, more character, less gadgets".
The director of "Casino Royale" also said that the leading female star would have the "best Bond girl part" ever. Maybe this is why they are so picky when choosing her…
