Radionet Ltd, the most important provider of technology for Wireless Hotzone, together with ServiceFactory, the main provider of systems for IP-based broadband services, and ZONET, the provider of wireless Internet, have announced at the end of last week the largest hotspot in the world.
The ZONET network covers eight cities from Finland, amounting to approximately 400 square
kilometers. The network provides mobile Internet connection of excellent quality, by transferring the signal from one antenna to another in a way similar to roaming.
"ZONET users can use the broadband connections in all the cities and areas covered by the network. Tourists can easily connect to the network, and the tariffs are extremely flexible; the services can be paid using pre-paid cards, credit cards or even though the cell phone ", a announces Janne Wickman, ProductManager, ZONET.
ZONET was one of the largest WiFi networks in the world, even before the launching of this new network. Users can check their email or surf the Internet while enjoying breakfast at a café, or can consult prices before making an acquisition from commercial centers.
ZONET is based on WiFi equipments supplied by Radionet and on IP-based services from ServiceFactory, but also on administering technology provided by the same company.
