Since quite a large number of professional photographers employ Apple notebooks actively in their workflows, whether during the editing or capturing processes, Immanuel Meier found it a good idea to come up with a product that will protect the respective portable computing systems while in use on location, namely the iWorkCase.

As Mr. Meier informs us, the iWorkCase is the first “on location" Workstation for Apple´s MacBook Pro models and was developed to establish a fast, secure and comfortable digital workflow at the set. The device has been designed to carry all important MacBook Pro equipment for on location digital operations. For previous models of 15 and 17 inch MacBook Pro (4th Generation), the device features an inlay to carry 1 MacBook Pro, 1 power supply unit, up to 3 original Apple replacement batteries, 2 external 2.5 inch hard drives, 1 Firewire 800 CF Card Reader, extra cable, 1 sunshield rag and 1 effective and solid custom sunshield unit. For new 15 and 17 inch MacBook Pro (5th Generation), inlays were designed to carry two external HyperMac MBP 150 PRO batteries, that ensure the power supply of the MacBook Pro for a long shooting day. Additionally two 2.5 inch hard drives or one hard drive and the power supply unit as well as a Firewire 800 Card Reader can be stored in the iWorkCase. The solution features a custom made coupling system that supports the Arca Swiss type quick release system, for quick and easy tripod mounting, while the included ¼ inch screw thread allows it to support every other quick release system as well. The inlay can be replaced by an inlay of another MacBook Pro version, so it is practically possible to use different MacBook Pro with one iWorkCase. Naturally, the iWorkCase comes at a pretty hefty price point, since it is now available for 499 Euro (694.75 US Dollars).
