For those who foresaw that Apple and Motorola will launch today an iTunes compatible phone, we have good news. As of today, the Motorola ROKR E1 phone, the most awaited launch of the year, is finally available.

Those who said that Apple will launch a video iPod will have to wait some more. Only Steve Jobs knows exactly for how long.

Motorola ROKR E1 is able to store 100 songs and will be distributed in the US through Cingular. The files can be downloaded off iTunes or they can be copied via USB from the computer.

What's more, the Motorola ROKR E1 has all the features of a high-end phone. The device offers triband GSM/GPRS (850/1800/1900 MHz) connectivity, has a 262,000 color display, a VGA camera and Bluetooth support. The phone will be available through Cingular for $249.99.

For Europe, the potential distributors are T-Mobile and O2, but the price is still unknown.
