The iPhone has been spotted over the past period on the Romanian black market, stirring some waves among the many people expecting its release. Still, the device is far from seeing an official unveiling on this market, as the only European countries that will benefit from an iPhone release this year are the UK, Germany and France.

Apple has officially announced the iPhone's release along with a date for this event only for Germany and the UK, holding France on the waiting list. Still, there will be no other European countries this year to legally receive the device.

Romanians might have gotten their hands on the iPhone, but it's only the unlocked version that also comes at a fairly high price. Otherwise, they would have not been capable of properly running, as there is no operator here to support it.

Still, the Integrated Romanian Information Systems (I.R.I.S) warns potential customers on the dangers that they are exposing themselves to. They are the same that all other users have to face, but, in this country, it leaves no room for second choices. Those choosing to buy an iPhone on the black market have no operator to legally purchase it, even if they wanted to. The only alternative is that of waiting for the handset to be officially supported by an operator. But who would do that, when the phone looks so good and is already here, although with some drawbacks?

Apple offers no warranty for the devices in case they get broken. Moreover, installing the latest firmware upgrade that the producer provides should turn the handset into useless bricks, with no chances of getting them back to the old state. Such an unlocked iPhone is currently available for a price ranged around USD 720, much higher than the one in the US.
