14 DAY TRIAL // Support dogs have been helping disabled people all over the world and now have the chance to make their lives even easier thanks to the “woof to wash” machine. The canine companion will need just a simple training in order to use the ingenious device, because it is shaped especially for service pets.
JTM Services has developed the washing machine that can actually be used by the dogs trained to assist the people living with disabilities. The invention is bark-activated so that the canine companion won't have to deal with pushing buttons.
It's not so hard, taking into consideration the fact that trained dogs can actually do a lot of household chores. Now, not only can the dog gather the laundry and load it into the machine but it can also start the washing process.
“Woof to Wash” is equipped with a cute paw-shaped pad that unlocks the machine's door and the short rope attached to the handle helps the animal open it both to load and to remove the laundry. The temperature and detergent are automatically set by the device making the dog's job as easy as a bark, according to Inhabitat.
People with physical disabilities have one more chore that they can cross out of their list thanks to their support trained dogs. The company that invented the machine also made a short demonstration video (watch below) showing how a trained canine companion called Duffy can use the “Woof to Wash” machine.
Service dogs are a precious part of society helping disabled people in numerous ways. They are known for being life saviors and best friends, and with the help of companies like JTM, they can considerably improve one's life.
For the moment, JTM only has a prototype machine in cooperation with manufacturer Miele. They are planning on releasing the actual items as soon as they perfect all its features.
