Got a high-end digital satellite television system capable of delivering a gazillion cool programs to your own private home-cinema, and you're damn proud of it? Well, you shouldn't be that glad, because there's something even cooler out there, namely a system that will allow you to enjoy the same satellite TV experience, but while you're on the go. Just announced at CES 2007 (one event I'm quite sure everyone would like to attend, myself included), DirecTV's Sat-Go (Satellite-To-Go) is the world's first fully-integrated, portable satellite and TV system, that will allow the users not only to receive programs, but also to view them while on the road.

Thus, the system comes with a 17-inch LCD monitor with integrated DirecTV Receiver, flat antenna and replaceable/rechargeable laptop-style battery, practically everything one needs in order to receive the provider's satellite programs. However, there's little info on the battery's capabilities, but the device does come with both an AC and a DC adapter (cigarette lighter adapter included), so it will work just fine in your car. The company hasn't provided too many technical details regarding this device, but, nevertheless, here's a list of the most important features they did provide:

- weight: around 11 kilos; - includes: a 17-inch LCD foldable display; - comes with: a small profile IR remote; - inputs: component and composite A/V; - outputs: composite A/V out; - features: satellite in connection, via the built-in antenna; - includes: phone jack, USB port; - power: laptop-style battery, charged via the AC or DC adapter.

There's no word yet on the pricing, but it seems some inside sources have informed the "New York Times" that the Sat-Go will be available this spring somewhere in the $1000-1300 price range, which is not even that much, considering the fact that the Sat-Go can also be used at home, as a standalone satellite receiver.
