As expected, CD Projekt RED has just made The Witcher Battle Arena available worldwide after the game was soft launched last week.

Those who haven't been able to play the beta may download it now, as The Witcher Battle Arena doesn't cost a dime. Expect heavy micro-transactions though, especially given the fact that this is a MOBA designed for mobiles.

In The Witcher Battle Arena, two three-hero teams fight against each other, trying to capture and hold conquest points. Developers promised intense and short fights designed with mobile devices in mind.

All the characters appearing in the game are part of the Witcher universe and fans of the franchise will recognize them immediately. Either it's Geralt of Rivia, the elven rebel Iorveth or the powerful sorceress Philippa Eilhart, you can choose whatever hero you like from a total of 9.

For the time being, players will only be able to fight on two maps, the Nilfgaardian Arena and the Korath Desert (both available in conquest mode), but additional maps will be available in the not so distant future.

New content will be launched in the future, including more heroes and maps

Each hero has unique powers which can be upgraded as they gain experience. All 9 heroes feature a RPG-like progression system, which might be intuitive for most players.

But developing your player profile by earning experience won't be the only thing you can do by winning 3v3 matches. You will gain rare and valuable pieces of equipment and gear with which you can make your heroes more powerful.

The game's deep upgrade system allows players to customize their favorite heroes and modify them to fit their playstyle.

According to CD Projekt RED, new heroes, maps and gameplay modes will be launched next, though more details will be announced later on.

You can now download The Witcher Battle Arena for Android and iOS for free. The game should be compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up, as well as iOS 7 or later. You can find a more details list with supported devices on the game's forums.
