A massive leak of internal documents led to a lot of untimely reveals regarding the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, including the game's ending and a ton of statistical data like the total number of NPCs and its breakdown.

Hidden between the lines of the sprawling dataminer heaven lies a piece of information that is thinly veiled and perhaps unsurprising, but exciting nonetheless: developer CD Projekt RED is planning ahead for the next entry in the series.

Several areas of the leaked documents reference The Witcher 4 plans, including which choices will carry over into the next installment in the role-playing series, which is pretty much the confirmation that the company has given serious thoughts regarding the continuation of the saga.

CD Projekt RED said that this would be protagonist Geralt of Rivia's last game, when revealing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but that doesn't mean it will be the end of the Witcher series. Now we know, thanks to the leak, that they are not only considering another title, but are indeed planning for it while working on the upcoming role-playing game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled to come out on February 24, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
