CD Projekt Red, the developer of the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has confirmed that the leaked documents that emerged online over the weekend are real and that they contain major spoilers, so fans should stay away if they don't want their experiences ruined.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to debut next year in February and CD Projekt Red offered many details at E3 2014 earlier this month.

Now, lots of secret details have appeared online, after the Google Drive account of one of the developers was hacked. In it, files containing details about gameplay, story, and possible endings were found.

CD Projekt Red has offered a statement to Eurogamer, acknowledging that the files are real and that fans should avoid accessing them if they don't want the story of the game to be spoiled.

"It has come to our attention that some of the production files for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have emerged on the internet," the studio said.

"A portion of the files contains information about the story of the game so we strongly advise against accessing them, as this may heavily impact and spoil your future gaming experience. We also like to reassure everyone that the disclosure of said documents does not affect the development cycle in any way."

As such, you might want to wait until February of next year to experience the challenging RPG as intended, not through leaked files.
