CD Projekt RED Co-Founder Marcin Iwinski has reassured players worldwide that the much anticipated role-playing game will not be delayed again.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Iwinski reinforced the fact that the game's pushback to February 2015 was final, and that the title wouldn't be delayed any further.

"This is not our first game; we are not newbies, It's not like 'hey we are delaying and we'll keep on delaying.' If we would think we need more time we would say 'hey we'll release it not in Feb but, I don't know, June.' We made the decision at the moment we were able to judge how much time we needed. So, no more delays," he explained.

While Iwinski knew that fans of the Witcher series were eager to get their hands on the game in 2014, he pointed out how pleasantly surprised he was by gamers' reaction to the delay.

"You can always take more time on a game, especially with huge games. You're never able to plan perfectly, and then the closer you get to shipping, the more you see 'oh I could use these [extra] two-three months,'" he added.

The delay will allow the development team to add some further polish to the game, ultimately resulting in a better experience for everyone involved.

Let's not forget Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto's famous quote: "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever."

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms in February 2015.
