The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has just received a brand-new comprehensive gameplay video that showcases not just the many different mechanics that make up the sprawling role-playing game, but also its story, complete with a fresh description.

The Witcher 3 is eagerly awaited by millions of fans from all over the world and developer CD Projekt Red has certainly kept them waiting for a long time. The game was presented way back in 2013, and since then it's swapped many different release dates and got delayed several times.

The Witcher 3 gets a fantastic gameplay video

The latest launch date for the RPG is May 19, and with the debut of a brand-new gameplay video, The Witcher 3 certainly seems ready for its debut next month.

As you can see in the footage below, which packs almost five minutes of sequences from the new role-playing game, The Witcher 3 is looking quite impressive.

The video goes over some of the most important mechanics in the new title, from how players can control protagonist Geralt of Rivia, to how they can impact his behavior and the situations he gets into.

The trailer also emphasizes the different areas players can develop their skills, from combat, which brings various skills and new sword fighting moves, to alchemy, that allows players to gather herbs and brew potions and bombs. Last but not least, there's the arcane department that allows Geralt to inflict serious damage with his various magic signs.

Besides these various gameplay details, not to mention the footage that accompanies them, the video also arrives with a new description for the game, confirming that players will have to track down the mysterious "Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world."

Players will journey across the Northern Realms, exploring cities, islands, mountain passes, caverns, and much more.

Expect to see much more of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as we get closer to its debut on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 19.
