The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting more patches from the development team at CD Projekt RED, and at the same time, it continues to deliver solid sales, managing to remain at the top of the United Kingdom video game sales chart for yet another week.

The open world title is the final adventure for Geralt, who is dealing with problems from his past and with a powerful supernatural threat.

The game offers improved combat, a bigger world, more emotional moments and a lot of side-quests and hunts that can be accessed, with campaigns that cannot be finished in under 100 hours.

Two expansions for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are also set to be launched in the coming months.

Grand Theft Auto V, the open-world modern title from Rockstar, has managed to return to second place, according to the data from UKIE, just as the Online mode of the game is set to get yet another content drop later in the week.

The final position on the United Kingdom podium is occupied by another relatively old title, FIFA 15 from EA Sports, which continues to receive content for the Ultimate Team mode even if the biggest championships in Europe have ended their season.

The best of the rest

Splatoon, the new Nintendo title for the Wii U, has seen a relatively precipitous drop and has reached fourth place coming from second.

Battlefield Hardline, the first-person shooter from Visceral Games and Electronic Arts, is in fifth place, gaining one position as the Criminal Activity DLC is getting ready to arrive.

Project Cars has also gained one place and is now in sixth place, and Farming Simulator 15 has dropped two of them to stay in seventh.

Destiny, the social shooter from Bungie, has delivered increased sales once the House of Wolves expansion was launched and sits in eighth.

A new The Taken King expansion is set to be introduced later in the year, as recently confirmed by a promotion from Red Bull, with an announcement potentially coming at E3.

The Xbox edition of Minecraft is in ninth, and the United Kingdom top ten is closed down by Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the shooter from Activision and Sledgehammer Games.
