CD Projekt Red and Microsoft have just revealed a brand new gameplay video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, this time showcasing one of the early quests presented to players called Precious Cargo, all running at a 60fps framerate on a PC. At the same time, it also promotes the Xbox One, a console that runs the game at just 30fps.

The Witcher 3 is set to debut next month on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms worldwide. The game's development concluded a short while ago, and developer CD Projekt Red has started sharing more and more gameplay videos, screenshots, and details about the medieval fantasy role-playing game with the fans.

A video recorded on PC is used to promote the Xbox One

Now, a fresh bit of gameplay footage has appeared online on the Xbox YouTube account, depicting the Precious Cargo quest, which is offered to players in the prologue of The Witcher 3.

The video includes footage running at a 60fps framerate, but as fans might remember, CD Projekt Red confirmed that the RPG would run at 60fps only on the PC, and that on the PS4 and Xbox One, it would be locked at 30fps. What's more baffling is that, at the end of the video, the Xbox One is promoted and throughout the trailer the Xbox watermark is clearly visible.

At no point during the footage is it mentioned that the game is depicted running on a PC, so uninformed fans could easily assume that the video shows The Witcher 3 running on the Xbox One, even if that's not the case.

Even so, you can still enjoy some fantastic gameplay from the upcoming RPG, showcasing not just combat and mechanics, but also great visuals and effects, albeit not on the promoted console.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt debuts on May 19 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. As of yet, Microsoft hasn't issued any comment regarding the video posted on its channel.

Update: Microsoft has added a disclaimer in the video's description noting that it's made on the PC and has apologized for not doing that right when it posted the gameplay footage.
