A few more details about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have appeared online, this time confirming that Geralt of Rivia, the game's protagonist, will be able to use a special Witcher Vision ability, and that he will face up underwater enemies while exploring the sea floor.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to debut next year and so far developer CD Projekt Red has been quite eager to share more and more details about the ambitious role-playing game and how it will delight both old fans and newcomers.

At E3 2014, the studio's representatives talked to AngryJoe about some of the mechanics from The Witcher 3, confirming that Geralt would be able to employ a special kind of Witcher vision ability while investigating different things in the open world.

What's more, there will be plenty of things to explore, both on land and on the open sea, as Geralt can dive and hunt for sunken treasure.

However, besides different rewards, the water will also contain all sorts of deadly monsters that can swim around as well as jump out of the sea and dive back down for surprise attacks.

In terms of exploration on land, The Witcher 3 allows Geralt to climb on top of any building, as apparently CD Projekt Red didn't want to put arbitrary limitations on what players could and could not climb.

Seeing as how the game's open world is drastically larger than the one seen in The Witcher 2, for example, a special fast travel system is in place. It will allow players to travel easily between locations, but they must first be already explored on foot, on a horse, or on a boat.

There are 26 possible endings, depending on the choices made by players, and veterans will certainly find references to decisions they made in past games. However, newcomers will also be able to admire the results of their decisions, even if references to previous adventures will be kept to a minimum.

CD Projekt Red also confirmed that it's already set up a save game import tool that allows PC owners of The Witcher 2 to transfer their decisions from the old game to the new one. A variation of such a system might also appear for PS4 and Xbox One, although it's unclear how it will work, as The Witcher 2 didn't appear for those platforms.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt debuts in February of 2015 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, so expect to hear much more soon enough.
