The minimum and recommended PC system requirements for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings have just been revealed, and it's pretty safe to say that if you have a decent enough computer, you'll be able to run the new role-playing game from CD Projekt Red.
The Witcher 2 has been in development for some time now, and lots of fans have eagerly awaited the new adventures of
Geralt, the protagonist, after the success of the first game, which, even if it had quite a few problems in its first iteration, went on to gain a massive following with releases like the Enhanced Edition.
Now,
Polygamia has gotten a hold of the minimum and recommended system specifications that future owners of The Witcher 2 will need to have in order to barely run the game and run it at its intended quality, respectively.
The minimum specifications are:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD equivalent
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 8800, 512 MB memory or ATI equivalent
Memory: 1 GB for Windows XP / 2 GB for Windows Vista and Windows 7
Hard Disk: 8 GB for the game installation and 8 GB for bonus materials
The recommended specifications are:
Processor: Intel Quad Core or AMD equivalent
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 260, 1 GB memory / Radeon HD 4850 with 1 GB memory
Memory: 3 GB for Windows XP / 4 GB for Windows Vista and Windows 7
Hard Disk: At least 16 GB of free space
If you are eagerly awaiting The Witcher 2, these specifications should help if you intended to make any last minute upgrades to your computer before the game comes out.
In case you forgot, The Witcher 2 is exclusive to the PC, so don't expect it out on consoles like the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
