In my quest for gadgets, I've seen quite a lot of accessories for Apple's top product, the iPod, some of them quite useful, others quite funny, while others completely useless. Nevertheless, to include the device you're about to see - namely the iJet Wireless Remote Controller - into one of these categories could prove to be a pretty difficult task, since the device could be considered either very useful (especially for the lazier users) or completely useless (for those who simply love using the iPod's famous click wheel).
So, first of all, let's see what this baby can do. Well, as the name
says it, the iJet Wireless Remote Controller allows the users to control their music player from a "yet to be specified" distance via an RF signal (strong enough to pass through walls) which is transmitted to a receiver connected to the device itself. Moreover, the device is drip-proof, so you could even use it in the bathroom, and also features a belt clip attachment, so you could even use it when carrying out some sort of sports-related activity, as well as a LED indicator, that shows whether the device works or not.
The iJet Wireless Remote Controller has a surprisingly attractive look, as it "borrows" the click wheel design from the iPod and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, measuring just around 2.9 cm x 5.5 cm x 1.1 cm (while the receiver measures 6.0 cm x 2.6 cm x 1.3 cm). It comes in white and black (thus matching the most commonly used iPod colors) and should be compatible with 3rd/4th/5th generation iPods.

Although the pricing details are not quite clear (FarEast Gizmos says it's around 68 US Dollars, while the original Japanese source, www.cut-and-paste.jp, doesn't really specify an exact amount), this device could prove to be useful, at least for controlling the iPod while it's connected to a docking station or sound system, the single reason why you might want to purchase this gadget, in my opinion.
