14 DAY TRIAL // The third time on American Idol proved a charm for Candice Glover: she’s been crowned the winner of the 12th edition of the popular TV show / singing competition. Check out the emotional moment below.
The finalists were Candice and Kree Harrison, who performed a duet right before host Ryan Seacrest announced which of the two got to take home the much coveted title and the big prize.
Candice burst into tears the moment the news sunk in, as Kree cheered for her on the side.
After exchanging hugs and kisses – and more tears – with fellow AI contestants, Candice launched into a rather shaky but still gorgeous live rendition of her brand new single, “I Am Beautiful.”
At this point, the audience and the judges were on their feet, either crying tears of joy or smiling happily.
