The Panel for Windows Vista is an online location designed to centralize user experiences related to Microsoft's latest operating system. Currently, the website features a total of four projects: UniveRSS - a 3D Vista RSS reader and three Live Gadgets Receipt of the Day, Special Offers and Job openings. "The Panel is the place to collect showcases of the new user experiences and provide insights on how they were implemented," reads a welcome message posted on The Panel.

In order to participate in the projects featured on The Panel, users are required to sign-in, which is no headache at all. Following a successful registration, members will be kept up to date on the project status via the MSDN Flash newsletter. "Each featured project provides the applications as well as the source code and explanation in order to help you leverage the new technologies and build better user experiences," additionally informs The Panel.

Creating front-end experiences and 3D visualizations and animations for implementation into Vista compatible experience is a task that falls onto the Windows Vista Presentation Foundation and the new Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML). "The new Windows Live services and Vista Sidebar Gadgets lead to a new generation of customized mini-applications meeting your customers' needs," promises The Panel.
