The Windows Vista Demo Environment

Including customer scenarios, sample applications and a feature showcase

The Redmond Company is making available the Windows Vista Demo Readiness Toolkit (DRT) to the members of the Microsoft Partner program. The Windows Vista Demo Environment is in actuality
a Windows Vista image-based installation. "At the moment the DRT is based on the RC1 build of Vista but we're currently busy putting together the bits for the RTM one as we speak. Stay tuned for an announcement about and RTM DRT in the next couple of weeks," explained a Microsoft Partner Technical Specialist adding that the RTM version is on track.

The Windows Vista Demo Readiness Toolkit includes customer scenarios and sample applications. On top of them, Microsoft is delivering a script and a feature showcase to demonstrate the key characteristics of the operating system.

Some of the features include: Instant Search, Search Explorer, Windows Aero, Reliability Monitor, Windows Shadowcopy, Networking Self-diagnostics, Resource Exhaustion Self-diagnostics, Windows Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, DVD Maker, Media Player 11, Media Center, User Account Control, Setup and Compatibility, Application Compatibility Toolkit V5.0, Windows Event Viewer, Firewall Managements, Windows Bitlocker Drive Encryption, Windows Readyboost and others.
