Just as we told you yesterday, Microsoft seems to be all set to introduce the highly anticipated updates for the built-in Windows 8 Metro apps, just in time for the debut of the new Windows Blue upgrade this summer.

Now it appears that Windows RT will get the same major app improvements, as Blue is rumored to come with a tablet version as well.

Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet writes that signs of imminent Metro app updates can be seen on Windows RT too, so Microsoft is most likely giving the final touches to this new release as we speak.

It's not yet clear whether Microsoft is planning to wait until the next Patch Tuesday cycle to roll out these new updates or ship them to users a bit sooner.

As compared to regular Windows updates, Metro app improvements will be delivered via the integrated Windows Store, so keep an eye on the updates section to make sure you deploy the new versions as soon as possible.
