This is the big time for us, the Microsoft chairman explains

Bill Gates, the Microsoft chairman who’s very busy with his foundation and doesn’t want to come back at the helm of the company, said in an interview that Windows 8 is a critical product for the future of the software giant.

He thinks that the whole Windows 8 ecosystem is truly amazing and said that users finally get a good mix of an operating system with touch capabilities.

“People will be pretty amazed about the energy Microsoft has put behind this new wave of products. This is the big time for us,” he explained.

“This is a big milestone for all Microsoft products in terms of connecting to cloud services. Windows 8, Windows 8 Phone and the new version of Office that’s coming out, they all go get their storage, go get your personalization and that’s a wonderful thing.”
