The PlayStation Museum is liquidating its contents

What's going on there at the PlayStation Museum? Are they kicking the can? They must be if there are currently over 1500 games auctioned on eBay for 30K, including PSX hardware. What, does it sound expensive? In case you need a reminder, these are the PSX classics that practically made-up 70% of our childhood.

OK, maybe not 70% but 60 % yes. You have to be a total video-game-freak/nerd to stay indoors and play games 70% of your childhood. Anyway, here's what the Museum's site says: "On the down side, the PlayStation Museum is liquidating all of our retail and development hardware and software. Now is your chance to get over 1,500 games, a lot of hardware (including a 10 Million Model PSX and MIB edition) plus a few other surprises."

However, there is a bit of a catch as eBay says: "Virtually all hardware listed on this site is in the auction and a lot of the software. Due to NDA, the gaming graveyard games are generally off limits (unless listed in the auction)... Unfortunately, this is not a promotion nor a joke," GameSetWatch reports.

But who cares, if you're swimming in cash then you won't have a problem making an offer higher than 30 gees, right? Right. Now, let me give you another reminder to further make you want this insane collection of PSX games and of course, tons of PSX hardware.

Games such as the Metal Gear Solid series, the Crash Bandicoot series, Resindent Evil, Silent Hill, Final Fantasy and let's not forget Sony's highly acclaimed driving simulator, Gran Turismo. They all started on Sony's original PlayStation console and still live today through more advanced titles of the same winning series. Wouldn't you want to be the lucky guy (or girl...who knows?) who has them all? I know I would. At least it would make a great show off subject.
