The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, the upcoming zombie shooter from Activision, has just received a March release date as well as confirmation that the game will also come out on the Nintendo Wii U, besides the PC, PS3, or Xbox 360.

Telltale Games' stunning The Walking Dead title has demonstrated the appetite of people for interactive experience based on the comic book and TV series, and Activision is now looking to capitalize on it with The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.

The game will be a stealth action shooter that focuses on the brothers Daryl and Merle before the events of the TV series.

Now, Producer Glenn Gamble has talked with Digital Spy about the game and has confirmed that it's also going to appear on the Wii U. This version of the title will take advantage of the touchscreen on the GamePad for an improved inventory management, according to him.

What's more, the website also confirms that The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be released on March 29 in the UK. Based on traditional launch strategies, it's a good bet that the game will come out in North America on March 26, but it hasn't been confirmed just yet.
