As announced, the four judges on The Voice, NBC’s new hit show that has already been renewed for a second season, did their best to do justice to Queen’s classic songs. Week 7 opened with a brilliant performance by the four.

Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton took to the stage and performed a Queen medley, topped with a guitar solo by Levine that made him almost instantly a trending topic on Twitter.

Check out the clip below to see it in full, albeit in rather poor video quality.

The performance started with Levine singing “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Cee Lo Green came up next with his own take on “We Will Rock,” on which he was joined by Blake Shelton, in what was undoubtedly the oddest and fortunate combination of the night.

Before Christina came onstage to perform “We Are the Champions” (in a rather unfortunate pair of short shorts, several voices online point out), Levine shredded on through the guitar solo like a rock god, even if he didn’t believe so at first.

“I flubbed a note during the guitar solo. Who cares it was mostly awesome,” he tweeted after the show.

Clearly, fans loved it, if judging solely on the fact that Levine became a trending topic on the social networking site after the performance.

Aguilera brought the drama and the big voice to round up the performance. It wasn’t the only time she got up on stage to perform either, since she also put in an appearance with her team.

This week, Aguilera and Shelton’s teams went against each other with group performance, and their respective coaches joined them for the ride.

Shelton chose “This Love” by Maroon 5, which undoubtedly must have pleased Levine, while Christina and her girls performed “Lady Marmalade” to the cheers and wild applauses of the crowd.

Until next week, when she’s supposed to say goodbye to two of her team members, check out Christina Aguilera and the other three coaches on The Voice doing a Queen medley and, as usual, enjoy.

Y'all must be kidding. All this performance did was reinforce what a great singer Freddie Mercury was. The four of them together couldn't match Freddie by himself. If you're going to have the arrogance to sing that on national television you really should have the talent to pull it off.
