But it's not cheap

Here's a gadget for all you rich people who actually have a backyard. For those who share an apartment with a roommate or even worse, with the parents, you might try installing the Viteo Shower instead of a normal shower, but your neighbors might not appreciate it.

However, if you do have a backyard and want to make an impression on your friends, this inverted shower, priced at 469 pounds, should definitely do the trick. The plastic disc (78cm/2ft6" in diameter) with its stainless steel framed base only requires a garden hose and you're ready to go. "As soon as you step onto the white platform, a meter-high fountain of water arises, showering you like a gentle summer rain", the product description informs. I wouldn't say that it compares to a cool summer rain, but it can't be that unpleasant either.

All you rich people - or your servants, for that matter - have to do is connect it to your garden hose using the supplied standard 1⁄2" adapter. The slip-resistant tread, made of sturdy UV-resistant ABS plastic, and the base are screwed together with springs in between. The shower is activated by a load of at least 15kg (33 lbs) and as soon as there's water through the system, it will spray out of 16 fine cone shaped jets. To prevent pipe clogging, a filter in the connector protects the channel system against impurities and the entire contraption is easy to clean with a damp cloth if necessary.

As always, there's something funny about the device, namely the weight limit. If you are a little bit on the heavy side, big boned if you like, it's not wise to step onto the Viteo Shower because it has a load capacity of 150kg.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
