Although it was known that the famous Second Life has a big impact in the real life for numerous registered members, it seems like the things are going to take a crazy direction. A Second Life member, Kevin Alderman, is suing another user of the famous platform, Volkov Catteneo, for copyright infringement. Let me explain it to you: Kevin Alderman is the creator of the adult-content company Eros LLC that provides virtual sex beds valued at approximately L$ 12.000, almost $45.11 according to Reuters.

The legal filling sustains that Catteneo copied Alderman's idea and sold the same products for L$4.000, a move that affected the business of the entrepreneur. The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court in Tampa and, according to the same source, Alderman is not seeking to obtain financial damages but only the copying of its products that affects the Second Life platform.

"Despite reasonable efforts, Eros does not presently know Defendant's true identity or address but intends to obtain this information by way of subpoenas directed to one or more internet service providers that are likely to have obtained said information from Defendant," the lawsuit states according to Reuters. "We're not going to sue him for a million dollars. I don't want to crucify the guy. I'm trying to protect my income and my family," Alderman added.

Although the plaintiff doesn't currently own any information about the defendant such as real name or address, Alderman said that he is willing to do anything to obtain private details about him. This is quite the first case concerning the Second Life platform and the real world and it's very interesting since there are no clear laws concerning this type of complaints. However, we should all be careful what are we doing while we're online because it was proved once again that every tiny unfair action can create us real trouble.
