14 DAY TRIAL // Victoria’s Secret has unveiled the ad that will screen during the 2015 Super Bowl on Sunday, February 1, and it does not disappoint, despite what people online assumed when a teaser came out, featuring the most famous Angels of the moment in full football gear and no lingerie in sight.
As the company’s Chief Marketing Officer said at the time, that was just a teaser for a teaser, not the actual ad. “We’re not crazy enough to do a commercial where all of our girls are dressed like football players. We do what we do — it’s two weeks to Valentine’s Day.”
Said and done: the actual ad (the Super Bowl teaser is the second video below) is Valentine’s Day themed and is as romantic as you would expect a commercial for lingerie to be. It also tells all the gentlemen out there that the best present for their ladies comes in a Victoria’s Secret bag, because that’s where the “magic” is.
The ad stars Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio, and makes the vague promise that, somewhere in Paris, there’s an Angel walking down the street in nothing but Victoria’s Secret undergarments and a coat, risking to catch her death from cold.
