The Urbz: Sims in the City is a video game developed by Maxis together with Griptonite Games for a wide range of devices, going from home consoles, like Nintendo's GameCube, Sony's PlayStation 2 or Microsoft's original Xbox, to portable ones like Nintendo's DS or Game Boy Advance devices, published by Electronic Arts on November 17, 2004, in North America, and March 11, 2005, in Europe.
The Urbz: Sims in the City was launched by the company as a spinoff based on its Sims series, featuring the same mechanics in regular games, allowing you to customize characters, but also having a unique story, set in an urban environment, with missions that must be accomplished in order to progress through it and unlock new things.
