14 DAY TRIAL // The launch of the ultra-portable 12.1-inch 2575 Notebook continues Averatec's line of low-cost notebooks. The new notebook gathers under its ultra-thin "hood" some powerful components that put it in line with some of the best. The 2.2GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 processor and the featured 2GB of memory size make this ultra-portable machine capable of running some of the most demanding applications. The ATI RS690 integrated graphics and the bright 12.1" display allow users to enjoy some of the best graphic performances for digital entertainment.
The features of this notebook do not end here. The memory size is expandable to 4GB, as there are 2x2GB memory slots. Its Duplex Front Side Bus reaches 1600MHz, that is a 800MHz Double Clock FSB. The north bridge Chipset is an ATI RS690T one, while the south bridge is ATASB600. The 9.5mm 5400RPM hard-disk drive has a 250GB storage capacity and there is also a built-in Super Multi DVD Writer available for optical storage.
The communication ports have not been left behind either. There are three High Speed USB 2.0 ports available, along with a 4-in-1 memory card reader and one 10/100 Ethernet LAN port. For network expandability, there is also a built-in Wireless LAN (802.11 b/g) available. The PCI Card Slot and the microphone and headphone jacks should conclude our list. Unlike other Averatec models, this 1.5" notebook comes in a subdued black color scheme with angular lines resembling the ThinkPad. It weights no more than 3.9 pounds.
The Averatec 2575 Notebook comes with Vista Home premium Edition pre-installed, along with some other software intended to make its use easier: Cyberlink DVD Solution, Norton Anti Virus Trial, Headphone Output Jack, Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0, Microsoft Office 2007 Trial and Recovery Media (DVD).
