I'm pretty much used to it so I'm writing this article just for the sake of all the people out there that don't know the guys from Samsung are the greatest slim maniacs on the face of the earth. Their newest release, the SPH-V9500 clamshell, has probably been starved to near death until it reached an outstanding 11.9 thickness. Not that I haven't seen something like this before, but the handset I'm writing about here doesn't just come on the mobile market being all snotty about its incredibly slim waist, it is just something special.

Why? Because this is probably the single mobile phone I know about entirely made out of the glass fibered plastic used on aircraft building. If you happen to know any other mobile device of this kind, leave a message for me to see it and write about it, giving you all the credit for the discovery of course.

Samsung hasn't limited itself only to the design development in the case of the SPH-V9500 and, as it usually does, has also managed to cram inside its small body a 2 megapixel digital camera, a microSD memory expansion card slot just in case the future owner will need an extra piece of storage space, these being topped by a USB Mass Storage technology that will enable the users to use the phone as a quick and easy to use storage device much like the USB memory cards almost anyone carries around the neck these days.

Unfortunately, this device is not going to come to the mobile stores near us very soon because, being launched under the KTF Anycall brand name, most probably, the V9500 will be available for the lucky Korean people that always get all the goodies.

At least we have something to replace it, the M610 handset launched by Samsung on the Sprint network, a phone that has a pretty close resemblance to the one we're talking about here as one of my new colleagues from Softpedia's mobile department has hinted me. I thank her for that and until we're going to get fresh news and info about the newest ultra slim from Samsung, hang around because you are the ones that you'll hear about it first.
