In the Windows Live Photo Gallery Arena

Microsoft is parading victories in nothing short of the ultimate Windows face-off on its website and Linux and Mac OS X are nowhere to bee seen. This because the confrontations have nothing at all to do with market share, or with feature lineup, hardware and software support, security, etc. Instead, Microsoft has thrown one against the other Windows users in the arena of Windows Live Photo Gallery. A simple extension of The Rookies part of the reportedly $300 million Windows advertising campaign debuted in 2008 and, designed to breathe new life into the Windows brand, the new ads feature a battle among generations.

Having already demonstrated that Windows Live Photo gallery was sufficiently simple to use even by a four-year-old and a seven-year-old, Microsoft is now taking the campaign a step further. The Redmond company has matched rookie users from different generations in an effort to demonstrate that not only Windows Live Photo gallery but ultimately the Windows operating system is tailored to all consumer segments by default.

At the bottom of this article you will be able to find three embedded videos featuring no less than six non-stereotypical Windows/PC users. In 7 vs. 70 – Panoramic Photos, 8 vs. 80 Slide Show, 9 vs. 90 Photo Sharing children and senior citizens are battling it out, among subtle and upfront dashes of humor, but with a vivid and palpable atmosphere well suited to the dead or alive challenges and the tasks at hand, to prove just how easy it is to use Windows Live Photo Gallery, and to win a trademark pair of Bill Gates geek glasses.

“Alexa, 7 years old. Allen, 70 years old. They’re rookies – new to the art of photo stitching. They battle mouse-to-mouse to see who can create a panorama the fastest. It’s easy at any age with Windows Live Photo Gallery,” Microsoft revealed. “Adam, age 8. Dave, age 80. Two hungry competitors. Two rookies at slide-show making. One fast-paced race to see who can put one together the fastest. With Windows Live Photo Gallery, it's easy at any age,” the company added. “Dmitri vs Dorothy. 9 years old vs 90 years old. Both rookies to Windows Live Photo Gallery. Both going the distance in a photo sharing face-off. It’s easy at any age.”
