Just think about getting home from work, docking your iPod to the home stereo and lying down to enjoy the music. Did I forget something? Oh, yeah, you may need to skip some tracks from time to time, since your mood may not be in line with all the tracks in your playlist. Well, what about getting up, changing the track, and getting back on the couch? No, there's gotta be another way? something like? a remote!

OK, so you got a remote, you're really happy about it, and a sad track starts. Well, you push the Next button, just to end up with another sad tune. This happens again once, twice, three times, and you go from happy to nervous and throw away this remote. There just has to be something better!

No worries, I found what you need! What you need is a remote with a LCD screen, and last Monday, Keyspan launched the TuneView for iPod, a Radio Frequency based remote control, and the only thing that doesn't sound good about it is the price, since you have to pay 179$ for the luxury of browsing the tracks of your docked iPod lying down on the couch.

The good parts of this innovative device are the color LCD display that allows you to view the contents of your iPod from a distance, including the pictures, of course, the RF communication being made using the two-way approach. Since this is not an infrared remote, the TuneView will work through walls, up to 75 feet away from your iPod, or at least that's what Keyspan is saying about its product.

The TuneView base features S-Video output to a television and can connect to your computer using the USB port, but don't forget about the chance to connect it to your stereo system! In terms of compatibility, the TuneView is compatible with the iPod mini, nano, fourth and fifth generations, and comes with everything you need - USB power adapter, USB cable and audio cables, as well as dock adapters to fit certain iPod models. No need to say it, but I will - if you have the money, get this one, it's going to worth it, I am sure of that!
