The USB Rubiks Cube Hub

A very special hub from USB Geek

As you probably already know (seeing that I've said this every time I've talked about some type of USB hub) the competition on the market of these devices is quite high, and that's why the manufacturers come up with all sorts of crazy and cool ideas in order to make the devices more appealing to the consumers. And one of the coolest models of USB Hubs I've come across lately is the one presented by USB Geek, namely the USB Rubiks Cube Hub.

As you can very clearly see from the pictures, the device has 2 USB ports capable of rotating at 90 or 180 degrees, as well as 2 normal, "immobile" ones, and is manufactured out of a tough aluminum alloy, the hub thus being quite durable. Moreover, the USB Rubiks Cube Hub provides over-current detection and protection for all the USB-powered devices inserted into it, and limits the amount of current a USB peripheral can draw, thus conserving the power and helping to prevent any undesired system crashes.

Here are some of the most important specifications of the USB Rubiks Cube Hub:

- dimensions: 107 x 21.4 x 21.4 mm;
- weight: 44 grams;
- includes 4 ports (with two rotatable ports);
- colored in: red, orange, yellow, green, blue;
- features a blue LED that blinks when data is accessed.

This is a pretty cool-looking device, especially if you're a fan of Rubik cubes, and is available for just 20 dollars, which is, after all, not that much, especially taking into consideration just how interesting it looks.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we
thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
